Bryce Mitchell Expresses Disinterest in Power Slap

Power Slap has been one of the most talked-about combat sports events in recent times. From viral sensations like Darius the Destroyer to UFC fighters like Jorge Masvidal and Tyron Woodley, the league has managed to attract some of the biggest names in the world of combat sports.

However, not everyone is impressed with Power Slap. Featherweight MMA fighter Bryce Mitchell recently spoke out against the event, calling it a “waste of time” in a recent interview with ESPN.

“They’d have to pay McGregor money for me to slap somebody,” Mitchell said. “I’m not interested in that. I’m a martial artist. I want to go in there and compete against somebody who’s trying to take my head off.”

Mitchell’s comments have been met with mixed reactions from fans and fellow fighters. While some have praised him for his dedication to traditional martial arts, others have criticized him for being closed-minded and not embracing new and different forms of combat sports.

It’s worth noting that Mitchell is not the first fighter to criticize Power Slap. Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping recently defended Power Slap and its founder Dana White, saying that the league has provided opportunities for fighters who may not have had a chance to compete in the UFC.

Despite the criticism, Power Slap continues to draw large audiences and generate buzz in the combat sports world. The league recently announced that its second season will be filmed in Abu Dhabi and air on Rumble, a new streaming platform set to launch later this year.

Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying that Power Slap is here to stay. And with big plans for the future, it seems that the league is only going to get bigger and better from here on out.
